I bought this to provide power over ethernet and to power the Amcrest camera. This PoE injector is very simple and self-explanatory. It produces more than enough power for the cameras and works well. For the price it does exactly what it should. This is the ideal device for lab testing and setup, or for those who just need a single, self-powered PoE device. A PoE device does not require a splitter. The purpose of a splitter (not included) is to pass power down the network cable and then distribute the power back to a connector that a non-PoE device can plug into.
