Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice SUV 235/65 R17 108T winter by Janis Bike ᠌

I like the product, the quality didn't let me down.

A few of the glowing reviews have caught me off guard, but! Then, let's follow the established protocol. The sum of 255/55/18 was spent on the Tuareg. At first glance, I must say, WOW! Does that ever occur. Ultra-gentle and silent! And when mixed with air, you can usually just take off and soar! Summer tires weren't as plush as my winter ones, so I wasn't as comfy. Despite its obvious benefits, no rubber is perfect, and even fewer people focus on its drawbacks in writing. The primary drawback is the inverse of the main positive. To be gentle like that. The rubber is forcefully forced through the very soft sidewall. And if it's cold outside the window and you leave the car on bumps, like driving one tire onto the edge of the curb (or anything similar), the rubber will harden in this position, and you'll feel a thumping on the steering wheel the next time you try to move. To put it another way: the rubber hardened into its new form. This will go away in a few minutes, but it hasn't happened on any of my other tires. A second negative is a thin wall on one side. The wheel still appears slightly deflated at a pressure of 2.5. Due to this, I would advise against pit-lane speeding on this rubber. There is a considerable potential for injury. The rubber also gives a bit when driven aggressively through turns. either that, or it flexes. Despite my (I don't know how to put this, I hope you understand) profile not being particularly high. These are also the results of having a weak sidewall. There are benefits to using rubber, to be sure, but those have been discussed at length elsewhere, so I'll focus on the drawbacks. Thus, the tires proved suitable for a relatively mild European winter (like the current winter (season 19-20) in Hong Kong). I doubt it would fare well in the snow and ice of winter. I also would not recommend it because of the poor road quality. When the weather is nearly perfect, these tires really shine. It's important to provide the 2022 provinces and the north a hundred times over.

Pros
  • Gently, quietly! - Very good resistance to hydroplaning! Excellent tire for long trips with the family.
Cons
  • Don't hope for miracles on ice because of the soft sidewall Read on for the downsides!
