Disappointing to handle

Grips look great on the bike but I've tried everything to "stick" them to the handlebars, used grip glue, hairspray. Just air them to put them on and they all come off on first use after waiting 24 hours to dry. Yves had a lot of knobs on this bike and never had this problem.
