The viscometer is supplied in a sturdy hard case and is well packed. The block with stand was easy to assemble and can be quickly disassembled for storage in a case with pre-cut foam inserts to accommodate the block. Setup and operation were easy, although the instructions are a bit minimalistic. As someone with no prior experience with a rotational viscometer, I found the NDJ-5 easy to learn. The only issue that wasn't clear in the instructions and required some research elsewhere was determining the correct insertion depth of the spindles, particularly the #4 spindle. Once this issue was resolved, we were able to get reliable and consistent results.
