Advantages: High quality materials and design. Simple and easy to use. It makes delicious rice. Looks good on a tabletop. Cons: Easily slides onto the countertop with the push of a button. The Korean-English translations in the owner's manual are often amusing but confusing. The first thing that struck me when I took out the inner pot was its weight. It has a certain weight. My old rice cooker had a very thin (and very light) metal inner bowl. In fact, it was so thin that the rice often burned to the bottom. I only used the part that didn't burn. The cuckoo didn't have this problem. I've cooked regular long grain rice, Japanese sticky rice, basmati rice, and arborio rice. Each one turned out just right. I wish this oven had non-slip feet. When I press one of the control buttons on the front of the machine, it slides across the tabletop. I have to use two hands: one to hold the plate, the other to push the button. Not a big deal, but non-slip feet would be a welcome addition.
