Each year I buy a large pack of C batteries to light our window candles for the holidays. Premium alkaline batteries typically last more than one holiday season, but not a full second holiday. So I switched to cheaper alkaline batteries. Again lasted more than one season. Then I bought these batteries, foolishly not reading the fine print and not seeing that they were carbon zinc batteries. Of course, they were half the price, but they lasted two weeks - about a third of the time that traditional alkaline devices worked. So it was really bad value for money. It was my fault for not reading carefully and that was the lesson.
