There are two 55 gallon aquariums (currently on our floor as we don't have shelves to display them yet), one with Koi and one with Axolotl and it is tricky and messy to do water changes on them with our little hose we use for smaller tanks. Our big one that connects to the faucet broke the end of the faucet and that's why we got this one. It's definitely worth it! Starting a reservoir feed is simple and fairly easy, and a clip keeps the vacuum end in the reservoir while you do other things. It is also very easy to carry with a faucet adapter for filling. We had to remove the smaller inner piece of rubber to fit our sinks, but even without tightening the strap it pushed the water back into the tank with ease. Great that we no longer have dirty water in our mouths and on the floor! He even did a fantastic job against natural water flow as the tanks are well on the ground currently and the sink is obviously on top.
