It really works! on overvoltage protection

It worked! A year ago there was a power surge in my house that caused almost $1,500 in damage to my refrigerator and freezer. Hang one of these on the wall before I wheeled the new fridge into place and I'm glad I did! On Wednesday we got a 165 VAC surge because a tree root was growing through a wire to the house (underground) and this muffler blew out. but not my fridge! I've ordered a replacement which for high end fridges with all the gimmicks it's definitely worth it! Deducted one star because it's a little unwieldy to squeeze into a standard single-gang box that's 12g deep. the cable.
