I don't care how they close. I use them with paracord to make mask straps. The "teeth" are very sharp but don't dig into the cord so they can snag or scratch when worn.
- Each end of the clip has teeth that grip the string material for a better grip. You can also use glue before crimping the ends of the strap for extra security.
