Works well but cleaning is a nightmare

I've never had a waffle maker but I've always wanted to try making homemade waffles. The waffle maker is well made, I love the stylish design and the instructions that come with it make it easy to use. To use it, simply plug it in and wait for the green indicator to light up to let you know it's reached the optimum temperature. You spray nonstick cooking spray on the top and bottom, pour in the batter, and close the lid to cook. I have found that 7 minutes is perfect for crispy waffles. It even includes some recipes, but what I don't like about recipes is that they don't tell you how long to cook the waffles. The waffles will cook evenly on both sides once you figure out how long to cook them. What I really dislike is that it's awful to clean! Maybe I'm just lazy, but it literally took me 15 minutes and about 12 paper towels to clean and dry this. You can't wash it in the sink, so according to the instructions, you should clean all the crevices, top and bottom, with a damp, soapy rag, then rinse with another rag, then dry. The non-stick coating works well but needs some peeling off. It would be a 5 star product if you could remove the hob and wash in the sink. Makes great waffles, but stay clean.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
