The plastic cutting board continued to emit a strange smell after more than 20 washes. Unfortunately, this gives the bread an unpleasant taste. I didn't notice this in the early years because with a family of 5 we ate a loaf of bread in less than a day so the taste change wasn't that pronounced. But in the end I found that our fresh bread had taken on an odd aroma and taste from that bread keeper. I threw that bread box in the trash. I really liked the design of the bread box. Thanks to the transparent container, it was easy for all family members to notice the presence of fresh bread. The telescoping design is handy - it takes up minimal storage space but can be extended to accommodate a fairly large loaf of bread. The presence of a cutting board that is kept in the bread machine when it is very convenient. If anyone can make a bread bin like this, but with high quality materials that don't outgas plastic chemicals, I'd happily buy one.
