Review on πŸ’Ύ StarTech.com Trayless Hard Drive Hot Swap Bay - Removable SATA/SAS Drive Bay - Aluminum (HSB1SATSASBA) by Nick Shirodkar

Quality electronics

Almost deducted a star because I bought the aluminum as advertised. It's not aluminum, it's aluminum and plastic, just like the others, only more durable. Some of the plastic parts feel flimsy as others have suggested, so you don't have to be Jewish. However, I doubt they could make all those metal parts and keep the price under $80, so I won't. Very good product. Has worked without any problems. It's not advertised, but they have a blue LED that lights up when the computer is on and turns purple when the drive is in use. It's very nice if you're working and raiding and want to make sure your raid is working. Drives slide in and out of the bay smoothly, once you know the procedure you can't just pop them in. Came with sata cables which were pretty well thought out and a few extra screws for what I don't know but I'm sure they will come in handy when I need them. Still fresh and not long term tested so I'll update this if they disappoint early in the future.
