Baby loves them but couldn't stand them

My 5 year old wears a size 12 and they fit as expected. He loves spiders so he likes these slippers. He wears them to school (no shoes) so they are easy to wear but use daily. The stitching on the upper and sole came undone within a few days. This left a big hole for the toes. I managed to sew him up so he can keep rocking his spider slippers at school. The bottom is a nice grippy sole that mom thanks for.
