Update 7 months later: My left stocking now has a pea-sized hole in the sole. I know these are minimalist shoes but I'm disappointed they didn't last longer. I only wear them when I walk, probably 20-25 miles a week. We live in Orlando near Disney and these are the only shoes I wear to the parks. Lots of running, lots of heat and lots of rain in addition to rides to get wet. I have worn Vibram KomodoSports for many years, but they are easier to put on and dry quickly. They are light on the feet and do not rub on the heel or over the toes. They're also easier to keep clean and odor-free than other Vibrams I've had thanks to the improved airflow. To clean and deodorize, I soak some antibacterial denture tablets in water for an hour and then let them air dry. Fresh Mint shoes are ready for new adventures in no time.
