Works well, but is it worth it?

I'm a longtime Pokemon Go fan and have had several devices including the Original Go Plus, Poke Ball Plus, Original Gotcha Band and now the Pocket Egg Dual. I was very hesitant to purchase the Egg Dual due to the price, it is by far the most expensive Pokemon add-on I have ever had. However, with heavy use, my straps last about a year before the battery stops charging. So I thought a device with removable batteries would be a good idea. I have yet to determine if this is a win-win, but wanted to share my thoughts with others who may be undecided. Pros: - It's really nice not having to constantly activate the device, I turn on the switch in the morning and don't have to worry about activating the device to wake it up. Simply pair in the app and you're done. Then turn off the power overnight. - It connects quickly in the app compared to other devices. - Huge battery life in a pair if you don't leave it overnight. - Easy spare batteries on hand. - Dual phone support is amazingly useful. . - The instructions are pretty clear once you read them! - Auto Catch and Auto Spin are great, but Gotcha Band has this feature too. - Simulation mode seems to help with driving with wasted Pokรฉballs, but slows things down in normal use. .- Much harder to unzip compared to a gotcha strip. Cons: - Expensive compared to alternatives - Quality is very low for a premium price, I expected a lot more. - The plastic case is soft and absorbs dirt and scratches - Large compared to others, but it fits in your pocket better than a ball - Main button and power button handle, had to bend slightly in front to release main button, now shines everything being fine - the main function button is really easy to press while in the case, luckily press and hold to change things on the case doesn't happen much - constant flashing light. I understand that I need to be told that the device is on, but the blinking LED is very annoying in the car or on a walk at night. My final thoughts: I have yet to determine if this thing is worth the price, but it has some good features and generally gets the job done without fuss. Fingers crossed it will hold up over time. tips. Most of the connectivity issues mentioned by others are software bugs and all devices will work until the app is updated. There's an override that permanently disables the beep and vibration, it says in the instructions, but here you go. When the device is off, press and hold the function key to turn on the device. The indicator flashes red three times. The sound and vibration will disappear forever and will not return after turning the device off and on again.
