I strongly suggest that you read through the instructions, particularly if you are the owner of one of the first Piglets. There have been some intriguing features introduced, such as grids while using Live View, priority in highlights (the best study in highlights is a form of boost in Dynamic Range), and Live View itself. Got pros: Even though the first one is extremely nice, the introduction of a great camera represents a significant step forward in the industry. It is definitely possible to work up to an ISO setting of 6400; however, the noise has taken on an entirely different appearance; rather than appearing as a foul mush, it has developed a texture, such as "noble film grain." I recently read that several folks were having issues with AF. Everything is amazing for me, and in any case, it's surely not worse than the first patch - if anything, it's definitely not worse. I can say one thing: with Planar 85 1.4 everything works great, a small percentage of errors (though there is only confirmation of the focus, so the example is somewhat incorrect) - with zooms 70-200 2.8 is / 24-70 2.8 - there are no problems. It's possible that there are issues when using very fast optics; however, I don't know, as I haven't tried it. There is a version of the 1D called the 1D (s) series that has improved AF, however the price is very different. The 5D mark II has really impressive attention to detail. It bears repeating that the first Five is a very respectable camera; nonetheless, the distinction between it and the PENSIBLE is what sets it apart. Its cons: The white balance presets are a little bit of a deception, but the auto BB setting does a good job of it (not perfect, but quite, quite). Sometimes there is not much speed - of course, there is also a 1D (s) series for this, but despite this, it was possible, by analogy with Nikon, to add Drive when purchasing a battery grip - say, for 1k frames per second. When compared to the 5D, the camera has actually become a little bit lighter, which seems pretty strange at first. But, this is more of a nitpicking issue.
