They fit very well and close securely. The supplied lashing cords can be easily hung in the eyelets. The loss of the star is due to the material being thinner than expected. It appears to be something similar to Tyvek. They should work fine, but time will tell how long this material can withstand the Phoenix sun. But for the price and if I get a few years off them I think I'll be happy.
