Works for left-handers or right-handers!
I bought this unit because I'm left handed and I'm tired of reading the temperature on a thermometer upside down. This thermometer is larger than my previous one and I haven't used it much yet, but so far it's working great! Nicely, the easy-to-read temperature display rotates depending on how you hold it, so the numbers always show correctly whether you're left- or right-handed. I'm happy with that.
