I bought this to convert the USB-C port on my Logitech Streamcam to a regular USB 3.0 port as my computer only has one USB-C port and it already has one for an external one drive is used. The dongle works, yes, but. The Logitech software did not recognize the USB 3.0 connection. This meant that the Logi Capture software was preventing me from streaming Full HD+ 60fps, only allowing 30fps (although I haven't checked if resetting the resolution to 60fps got me back). In general, I would say that such an adapter is great for connecting peripherals that do not have large amounts of data. USB-C keyboard/mouse, rarely used external backup drive, lights, etc. But for a webcam, my external audio device, or an external drive that you access frequently, you might have better luck elsewhere.
