I just received this and tried it right away. The first setting is good. The middle setting is very good. A high setting is enough to cool you down on a hot summer day while sitting on your patio. Tons of air movement, excellent speed. The fan can be heard, especially at high settings, but it's not loud enough to be distracting or distracting. I'm a tall guy and I get hot easily. This means I can rely less on the air conditioner to keep me comfortable at my desk at home on those really hot days. 10/10 would buy again. I'll probably buy another one for my desktop.
