Received a used cap with a new cable. The edges of the hat were bent and damaged

I received a clearly used hat that still had dirt on it with a new shiny black tip. You could have tried anyway, but someone pinched the inside edge of the cap while attaching the new cable and it stuck like that. I can't turn.
