Here's the thing. My feet are a bit wider and still feel like they have plenty of room, which is great. But the problem is that the damn material ends halfway in (heel to toe). So the back half of the boot is soft and durable, while the front center is less comfortable and offers more space for your foot. This is incredibly noticeable on the inside of the boot along the arch (where the transition occurs). It's absolutely awful. He just stops. From a pillow. Nothing. So with my arch, the back half of the arch is compressed like crazy and the front half feels good but has less support. There are no subtleties in the transition, and it shakes your leg and feels awful. To confirm this was the problem I tried to fix it by inserting a folded piece of paper towel inside the boot to try and smooth the transition and what do you do? knows? This fixed it. Trouble is, I can't keep a damn paper towel insert in the trunk every time I want to use it. It will move and break. They should have dealt with this in the design phase. In short, the liner is wrongly designed. If they sewed it up right and made a smoother transition that would be great, but unfortunately I can't leave them. I called the store where I ordered them and they said they came ready to use, no hacks. They definitely feel like they have to chop me, which probably means they're way off my leg. So again, if you have slightly wider feet and a medium arch (any arch, actually, even flat feet), be careful. Beware. Beware. It's a shame too, because otherwise they look great, really well made. This one design decision alone rules it out for me. Back to the drawing board I guess. :(
