This shower curtain is very beautiful and of good quality. It is a soft, light and very flexible umbrella-like fabric. I couldn't believe it would be waterproof when I first saw it, but water doesn't seep through. My husband needs to shower twice a day for work, so that's confirmed! You can use a liner with it, but I don't think it's necessary. I avoid liners because they trap moisture and encourage mold growth. The pattern on it is bright and the picture is adorable! At first my husband said he was a bit suspicious of the giant Santa Claus and reindeer in the shower but he's used to it lol! When I opened the package, the first thing I took out was the hooks. This made a bad first impression on me because they are small and made out of very thin, flimsy plastic. I had to stretch them a lot to get them through the shower curtain rod, but other than that they were easy to put on and snap into place. I was surprised that once installed they slide well on the bar. Whether the plastic will become brittle over time remains to be seen. So far, so good. In any case, don't buy this for the hooks; They are only there as an added convenience. The main consideration with shower curtains is resistance to mold and mildew, but it's too early to judge that quality. I will say that the fabric seems to dry fairly quickly, so I'm hoping it will resist mold. It would be nice if this came in more than one size as I would have preferred the longer one (84 inches). This extends just below the rim of the tub, but the bottom slides out of the tub easily, which can cause water to spurt out of the tub if you don't notice. I hope that this company also makes regular (non-Christmas themed) shower curtains because after the holiday season I would definitely buy the same product with a non-Christmas look.
