DOESN'T WORK - Is it worth buying?

Didn't work properly. Tried to return but had to pay the price of the product to return it so just threw it in the bin. Is it worth buying? Everything is mass-produced and not everything goes according to plan. Either bad design or bad quality control. It's only a few bucks, roll the dice if you want.
