In the past I have bought several night lights with pictures. They were the kind stuck in the wall. My son loved pointing at pictures before bed. However, when he was old enough to figure out how to turn them off, they started getting really annoying about turning them off. I was very excited when I discovered this battery powered flashlight. I bought a dinosaur and my son loved to run around the house and radiate everything around him. I like that the pictures can change so he can always look at something different when he gets bored. I also like that the light turns off automatically after a while. My son is too young to understand that things will die if he leaves them on too long. However, the switch to change the images is quite difficult to turn. I can barely turn it and my son can't move it at all. The light isn't very bright at the end either, but the images are still clear and glow well against a low ceiling. In general I am very happy with them. My son definitely is.
