Review on Enhanced Filtration Efficiency: FS TFC Replacement Universal Compatible Residential Filtration Solution by Steve Cooper

Bought this membrane for 100 GPD to save on replacing my HydroLogic unit. Brand new (after an hour of washing) it produced 80ppm water from 450ppm tap water. Disappointing considering the old membrane gave me 4 parts per million water. If you look closely at the specifications, this membrane only has a rejection rate of 97%, which is actually quite low. I've been using it for 6 months - the pH in my nutrient tanks has always gone up and now it's producing 175ppm water. The last straw was that I hooked up an ultrasonic humidifier this winter. There are CALCIUM flakes everywhere in the R/O water. Next time I'll spend the extra money on a proprietary diaphragm.
