Review on Joovy Lightweight Jogging Stroller Slate by Sean Sheppard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best stroller.

Joovy followed the lightweight Joovy Zoom 360 stroller with this model, the Joovy Zoom lightweight stroller. Zoom 360 is no longer available and this Zoom is its replacement. Although the name has been shortened, the stroller itself has been bolstered in many ways and is a serious competitor to high-end walkers from manufacturers such as BOB, Thule, Burley and Bumbleride. While the Zoom 360 received good reviews, the new Zoom addressed most of the complaints that reviewers had about the 360. Improvements include: 1) a taller and more upright (albeit reclining) seat - two inches taller than the 360, eliminating a major complaint parents have with older/bigger kids 2) stronger, roomier and stiffer underseat storage, the 15 pounds compared to the 5 pound Zoom 360 tray. This reduces the likelihood of excess weight causing the tray to sag and thus damaging the braking system 3) Improved sun visor and new see-through sun visor for the front of the stroller an opaque fabric flap covering a plastic window that stays closed with magnets when needed i don't want to use the window. 5) A more efficient and protected suspension system that, like the Zoom 360 suspension, is not attached to the wheels but acts like a rear suspension on a mountain bike and, combined with the front seat pivot, buffers directly between the runner's seat and frame 6 ) Can be fold and open with one hand. Other benefits of the Joovy Zoom include: 1) All three tires are pneumatic 2) High quality materials 3) Only 27 lbs 4) The front wheel can be rotated or held in a fixed forward position 5) Car seat adapters are available to fit a variety of child seats 6) The ability to stand upright when folded makes it great for running. Expect to see it alongside BOB and Thule on this year's lists of the best running strollers.
