Update 2/20 Coating is completely gone. I don't have any of the benefits it originally offered. Overall extremely disappointing. Updated 12/19. So after three car washes (by hand, not in the car) I already notice that the coating is peeling off. The smoothness that was originally there is gone. I also noticed that after the rain there are dirt and water stains now like before the coating. After the first use it didn't happen. Although the water still shines well. I have also applied it to glass but it is not as effective or durable as Rain X. As mentioned below I would be happy with a 6 month lifespan. I've only had it for a month and a half. I obviously didn't expect it to look like a real ceramic application, but I did expect a longer lasting result. In addition, there is no additional protection against scratches when using this coating. I see no value for the price and would not recommend it again. Back to my regular clay/polish/wax routine. First Review: Put this on my black car last weekend. Gives incredible shine. This morning I rode in the rain all morning. After parking in the garage, the water evaporated from the car, there were no more water stains or dirt streaks. That impressed me the most. As this is a new product, let's see how long the coating lasts. Chemical Guys requirements up to 12 months. I drive 20,000 miles a year and my car is outside most of the time (even though it's in the garage during the day) so if I get 6 months I'll be happy. Will update this review if durability doesn't hold up. Very easy to use if you follow the instructions. Don't let him sit a second longer than necessary or you'll get hurt and cry while filming. Just work in small sections at a time. The full steps I took included clay, buffing with V38, this stuff, black light and a polymer wax finish.
