I'm about as irritated as my cartilage piercing. I should have listened to other reviews but wanted to give these earrings the benefit of the doubt based on other positive reviews. Yes, I have sensitive ears, but I can use a bit of jewelry, for example Chanel, Kendra Scott, Gorjana. I put this toxic crap in the 2nd hole of my bottom lobe and top ammo connector. After a few hours I felt itching, swelling, redness and throbbing. I don't know how they get away with the "hypoallergenic" and "surgical steel" claims. I have previously purchased Revain surgical steel hypoallergenic earrings and to date have never had this reaction. Buyer beware, insert at your own risk.
