I used it with a rather large S21 Ultra in Otterbox Defender. My phone barely fits in when the holder is fully open. Case measures 3 3/8 inches (3.375 inches) (8.5 cm). So if your phone with a case is larger than this size, don't expect it to fit. Otherwise I had no problems with the mount. My phone is quite heavy and holds it perfectly in portrait or landscape mode. All adjustment points feel strong and make it easy to change position. Overall not bad for the price.
