My daughter is 10 months old, 30 inches tall and weighs 21 pounds. I ordered a large size. Perfect fit, there is still room to grow. Didn't shrink after washing, I air dried, I don't know how it will be after drying. The material is very soft and feels comfortable. I'm glad I decided to do this. I've decided between Bert's Bees and Halo. I ordered Halo Large earlier when she was 7 months old. fit well even after they sat down so I decided to try something else. I prefer Burts bees. I wish they were a size XL
