Update: After three weeks I have found that it is impossible to clean and I would return it. Even with thorough cleaning and/or soaking of all parts after each use, food gets into every crevice of every part, inside and out, and won't come out with a toothbrush (and even that's too much work to ask a parent with a child). ). Mine have only been used a few times over the course of a few weeks with bananas. It's a shame because otherwise they looked great and my son liked them. My 7 month old loves to eat and he is obsessed with this feeder. We've only had him a few days so we've only tried bananas on him so far but he loves it and gets mad when I take him away. He finds it easy to take the handle and immediately got used to the feeders on his own. There are a lot of small parts that need cleaning, which is a bit of a chore, but it's not a big deal compared to how much fun he's having with it. As a comparison I would recommend these over mesh fabric constructions, I used these on my older children when they were babies and didn't like the texture of the fabric. I wish they had something like this silicone when they were little.
