This is one of many anchor cables for my electronics. Why? They just work and don't fail as often as other cables. This cable has an outer braid which I don't like as much as the regular "rubber" outer jacket, but it seems to be stronger and that's why I figured it out. I prefer the look but the feel is not that comfortable. When I use Anker cables, I don't have to worry about the cable slowing down my charging or file transfers.
