As the name suggests, it does the job. I have found that I have to brush my hair much softer/slower with this brush because if I don't it will hurt and pull my hair out. But as long as I have the patience to comb my hair properly, it does exactly what it's supposed to. My only major complaint is that the thick bristles make this brush a lot harder to clean and remove loose hairs than it is to brush your hair with a regular fine bristle brush. Normally with a regular brush I can just hand knot my hair and pull it out (or use a comb) but with this brush the hair gets tangled when I try and gets stuck in the bristles. I think it's still worth it as I'm tired of throwing away otherwise intact plastic brushes just because little bits of rubber fall off the plastic bristles and the brush starts to scratch and hurt the scalp. I hope that with these thicker and harder bamboo bristles this will no longer be a problem (as it wasn't before).
