My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

I bought the camera as a replacement for 5d mk2 due to its more compact size, modern matrix and the ability to shoot video. (The way the old kenons make videos categorically did not suit me - aliasing and low DD)
I tested the camera on a two-week mountain hike in Altai.
Sony a7R2 is light and compact, you can carry it in a case around your neck all day long and the camera is always at hand. But! For a long autonomous trip, you need to take a power-bank with you, and in general, the gain in weight compared to a DSLR comes to naught.
The matrix in this camera is the main thing, for the sake of it you can close your eyes to the shortcomings. The colors are very different from the Kenon ones - photo processing has become very complicated, but this is probably a matter of habit. Be sure to download and spin the raves before buying!

Pros

Resolution, sharpness, sensitivity and dynamic range of the matrix. Colors do not degrade with iso. I consider the value of 4000 iso to be working. Shadows in RAW are drawn really well. without strong noise and banding as in 5d mark2. High quality video recording. Many video recording modes (resolution, profiles). Wireless functions (transferring previews to a smartphone via wi-fi). Charging from micro-USB

Cons

Don't like the screen! Very low resolution, a Chinese smartphone for 8000 has a much better screen. I don't like the viewfinder. I still can't get used to the optical one. Incredible gluttony - with the camera turned on, about a percentage per minute! Autofocus is very dull when focusing at close range, as if there is not enough range. But you switch to manual mode and there is still a decent margin. (Described problem with FE 28 f2.0) With a full-length portrait, face recognition does not work and there is no automatic focus on the face.
