I bought the camera as a replacement for 5d mk2 due to its more compact size, modern matrix and the ability to shoot video. (The way the old kenons make videos categorically did not suit me - aliasing and low DD) I tested the camera on a two-week mountain hike in Altai. Sony a7R2 is light and compact, you can carry it in a case around your neck all day long and the camera is always at hand. But! For a long autonomous trip, you need to take a power-bank with you, and in general, the gain in weight compared to a DSLR comes to naught. The matrix in this camera is the main thing, for the sake of it you can close your eyes to the shortcomings. The colors are very different from the Kenon ones - photo processing has become very complicated, but this is probably a matter of habit. Be sure to download and spin the raves before buying!
