I bought it because it was a bit cheaper than the famous brand but I was surprised that the amount of paper going into the filter was less than at the original . The size is the same, but the rows of pleats are closer together on the original. I counted about 30 rows on this one and over 50 on my old brand AIRCARE from last season. I have an AIRCARE EP9 800 Digital Whole House Pedestal evaporative humidifier and I am comparing it to the AIRCARE filter I bought last time. Year. This is a cheap fake! Haven't started using it yet, but I don't expect it to release as much water as the original, and with fewer rows of paper, it sinks faster and fills up with mineral deposits faster. since wicking essentially requires 1/3 or more less paper. Since it's not that big of a saving, I'll buy a branded filter again next time. I will attach a photo to show the difference. New filter on the left, old one on the right. It is very easy to see that this company is robbing people trying to sell this as an item comparable to AIRCARE's 1043 filter. Overall size aside, it doesn't look like the original at all.
