Great for keeping teeth strong but not good for bacterial growth

I have had this toothbrush for a month now and the base of the toothbrush has started to turn yellowish and this morning it has started turning green bacteria. I've tried cleaning it by all means and it's still yellow on the bottom. I tried cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide and it's still yellow on the bottom.
