If this toy was reasonably priced I would give it 5 stars. But my birds like to nibble on it, so once a year it's a Christmas treat for them. It's not for heavy chewers who would quickly destroy it. It's only suitable for smaller birds that aren't interested in chewing on other woods - parrots, parrots, parrots, small bugs, etc. My green-cheeked beetle got one for Christmas and it's been half destroyed since January 11th. A tip: once everything is destroyed, buy a strip of balsa wood from a craft store and cut it into pieces to fill this toy.
