This is an attractive block. The aluminum case is a dark gray/pewter color that suits my computer system better than other typical black plastic blocks. Additionally, the fact that the case is made of durable metal protects it from possible interference from my computer, external drives, and nearby fluorescent lights. It has a tiny but highly visible red LED power indicator, which is a nice touch. It works great with my XQD and SD cards and the USB 3.0 port is very convenient. The only downside is that the USB connection cable is very short, including the USB plug, only about 15 cm long, and is very rigid. I found it almost useless without adding a short (1ft) USB extension cable. Overall, I would give five stars if the attached cable was a few inches longer and not as stiff.
