Review on πŸ“ Allnice Micrometer Millimeter Conversion Tool by Vedavyas Fleming

Revainrating 4 out of 5

unnamed micrometer. Good for the money

Low price but still usable. Made of metal, except for the reading part. Uses one LR44 battery with 3 digital displays included - handy feature - my eyes aren't what they used to be. It doesn't seem to turn off completely. Measurements are activated when you move the slide. Measurements can be selected in inches, millimeters and fractions of an inch. The latter literally indicates a fraction. The "instructions" provided are not particularly clear and assume you are already familiar with using the micrometer. The representation of the difference measurement is the same for both measured values. The specs indicate the output connector, but I only have one screw. Maybe for a different model. The micrometer pictured is not identical to the one I received. Comes with a decent plastic carrying case. Accuracy (closeness to true value) is difficult to measure as it can only be measured against a standard. The instructions sometimes confuse precision with accuracy (repeatability) and resolution (number of significant decimal places). If that bothers you, then look for a more expensive tool. When comparing millimeter values with an inch scale, they differ by about 0.01 mm, which is within the specified reproducibility. I give it 4 stars because it's better than I expected but not outstanding.

Pros
  • Accurate measurement
Cons
  • Something different
