I had my doubts about this type of case but I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. The case works as advertised and provides comfortable protection for your iPad. I didn't drop it, but I'm sure if and when I do, this case will save me from spending money on screen repairs. I didn't use the screen protector that came with it as I decided to buy a tempered glass screen protector so I can't comment on that. There was a little resistance when first putting the case on the iPad, but it's what you need. What you don't want is a case that slides in very easily, as it can slide out just as easily, or be too big for the iPad. This is the third type of case I've tried on an iPad. The first was in the form of a triple-lid wallet. This cover provided minimal protection. The second was a silicone case with a plastic frame that attached to the iPad. This case provided excellent protection, but the plastic latches broke when I tried to put them back on. Apparently the third time was a charm. I didn't realize how useful the pen would be, but now I'm wondering how I ever used it without it. As long as I hold it, I feel much more confident and comfortable. The grip also does a great job of providing elevated visibility when resting on a flat surface. I was a little confused by the menu button. It was very stiff at first but after a few weeks of use it loosened up and now I don't have to push as hard. I love this shop!
