This is a heavy duty zip that is great for replacing the plastic zips on a winter coat. NOTHING will break. I had a great coat but the zipper broke as I wear a lot of layers. When I ordered this zipper I was concerned that the sizing might not be correct and I really needed an exact match, no more than 1/4 inch difference. I didn't have to worry - it was perfect! Metal and heavy material construction, so use strong sewing machine, but it will never break. I also bought some machine needle sets for my 110 year old car and they fit perfectly too!
