ENGLISH BIT, GO IN CONCRETE WITH A GOOD DRILL

So I bought these bits after trying a Chinese bit I bought from Lowes. The Chinese part, as I expected, turned out to be frankly rubbish. This is the real deal with an excellent guarantee from DeWalt. Unfortunately, I first put them in a cheap Skil impact drill (that's just a name now, not the old Skil quality) and they kept twisting out of the drill chuck. Returned the drill, tried my son-in-law's American made drill. No problem. So don't skimp on a drill bit or anything when trying to drill holes in concrete. It'll just be a day of cursing and disappointment. And I've found that if you want quality bits, you should buy brand name bits that are either made in Germany or Taiwan.

Pros
  • Carbide tip maximizes carbide contact with the surface for longer bit life.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
