Works even in high temperature environments such as refrigerators. B. in a metal transporter, excellent. Currently there are 3 panels of 100w in a 4800wh gel battery bank. It doesn't heat up at all and I'll soon be hooking up 3 more panels with confidence and ending up with 9x100W in parallel. Sometimes the van charges all day without AC and easily reaches an ambient temperature of around 120 degrees. I was skeptical at first due to the cost, but I'm so glad I went with the zhc because it's a great little charge controller. The large cable connectors work with my 4 gauge cable, the USB connector plugs straight in to charge my phone. The only downside is that the temperature sensor isn't really a sensor, more of a piece, so you only get the ambient temperature, not the battery temperature. The instructions are translated from Chinese I guess so they don't read properly but it's all very intuitive and if you have 1/4 brain you should be able to figure it out. Very satisfied, if you think about it, you should just pull the trigger.
