H0T FOR BEGINNERS. Get a kit that you know has reliable items. Timer COUNTERFIT 555. Precut wires are SOFT but definitely usable. The baker is cheap. It falls apart easily and the internal metal parts are pushed out from underneath as it's just paper and no hard backing on the back. The wires can easily move sideways and short out on other rails. And just by wiggling the board, the LEDs I installed flicker like crazy. Bad connections everywhere. Resistors must be checked individually as they do not match their marking. The potentiometer does not work. So if you buy a new breadboard, 555 timer and multimeter, that's good for the LED caps and wires.
