Perfect length. I have a pretty small room so I was able to wrap it around the whole room and one more wall. These lamps are so beautiful that even in the tiniest light they bring a soft glow to the room and are actually the perfect reading lamp for me. I love the remote control and the many options it has and some of the lights are quite strobe so I think they would be good for a party. Now for the installation: Please be patient! The wire can become tangled if you are not careful. What helped me unravel it was putting it on my wrist while going through the tack room! I'm 5ft 2ft and hung these lights myself. It's not hard if you're patient and know how to avoid the wire getting tangled (trust me, it's very comfortable to wear on your wrist like a bracelet/bracelet). I am happy with my purchase and if anything happens to the headlights in the future I will definitely update my review.
