They do not close well for window treatments

They arrived in perfect condition and appear to be of high quality but I have not been able to get them to work. I used three 1.8mm pull cords. The brass wheels inside were not attached to the cord. They seem to catch, but then everything quickly slips through. After trying 3 out of 8 in a pack I went to my local fabric store and bought an almost identical cord lock, brought it home, installed it the same way and it worked fine right away. I threw away these purchased Revains and sent them back.
