These spools of black thread were needed for an important project and I was delighted to receive them within the two days promised. Luckily I decided to test embroider a small design. The lower thread did not pull through the needle plate at all and seemed unusually stringy. It took several attempts and the use of a tool to detach the spool from the machine; It was clearly the wrong SA156 size. I wound this thread from a spool I just bought onto an empty SAS156 spool in my inventory and installed it on my machine. It worked for a few seconds, then I quickly knotted my fabric and dropped it into the machine. After removing the fabric and removing any residue, I installed a spool of bobbin thread from my inventory and returned to embroidering the design. I sewed with no problems. I believe I've done enough testing to determine that (1) the bobbin is not a good representation of the SA156 and (2) the bobbin thread is of unacceptable quality.
