Review on Wi-Fi router Keenetic Hero 4G KN-2310, white by Stanislaw Was ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

It was bought to replace Huawei B593, which served faithfully for 8 years. Reason for replacement: "smart home" gobbled up the entire maximum of 32 connections. Unexpectedly, the Hero 4G turned out to have both a modem and a wi-fi module better. The predecessor, when fully loaded, significantly (up to 3 times) cut off the speed of wireless connections, plus it needed repeaters to cover the entire area. After switching to Keenetic, the repeaters are put in a box as unnecessary. A plot of 10 acres and an aerated concrete house are more than covered with a router. Initially, I focused on buying Runner 4G (because there is no need to use gigabit connections within the network and there is no competition for wi-fi broadcast in the 2.4 GHz band outside the city), but while choosing, there were only 3 offers for its sale, and the difference in price with Hero 4G was less than 1000 (~ 12%), so I took Hero 4G, so to speak "for growth", given that the manufacturer gives a 4-year support guarantee.

Pros
  • Possibility to connect external 4G (LTE) antennas via SMA connector. MIMO support. Freaky Wi-Fi power. A large number of settings with the ability to create multiple networks. Possibility of remote control through the application (the device was bought for giving). Declared manufacturer support until 2025.
Cons
  • The price tag, which has grown indecently during the pandemic. Dimensions.
