This life jacket is durable and has many size adjustments. I have a very small 10 lb dog and I had to adjust it just enough to fit him. Everything worked out fine in the end, and once adjusted, the jacket can be quickly removed after swimming with the plastic fasteners. There is a sturdy handle on the top, which is too big for my small dog, but suitable for heavier small dogs. Several interesting options for this jacket. First, there are some wings that appear to be for decoration only. I think if your goal is to have a swimming angel shark dog then this product is for you. I personally don't like the wings and they come off easily as they are held in place with velcro. The shark's fin is permanent and looks great when it's swimming. Another option is the neck brace. I've tried it but my dog doesn't need it and it seems to get in the way. This element can be useful for large and heavy dogs, it is also attached with Velcro and can be easily removed. As well as the handle at the top there's also a plastic eyelet for attaching a leash, and the vest works like a harness, although not perfectly. All in all a very well made jacket for small dogs and seems to last a long time. even with daily use for a very long time. My dog can swim without a life jacket and I think most dogs can, but it's reassuring when we're on a boat or near water when we can't keep an eye on him all the time.
